FEV was founded in 1978 by Prof. Franz Pischinger, who at the time held the Chair of Applied Thermodynamics at RWTH Aachen University. Starting as a start‑up with just four employees, FEV has consistently followed its guiding principle “Feel EVolution” and has grown continuously thanks to a unique pioneering spirit and strong innovative drive.
As early as the 1980s, we were active in energy technology – both in the development of technologies such as gensets and CHP systems and in the optimization of complex industrial energy systems, ranging from paper mills to breweries. From this combination of technology development and applied energy efficiency, our expertise has evolved step by step.
Today, FEV is a globally leading engineering service provider and innovation driver across a wide range of industries. With the launch of the energy+resources brand in 2024, we made a clear commitment to integrated solutions for energy challenges as well as to sustainability and resource management.
